ASDA Day, 2nd August the facts.

Just got off the phone to the organiser of this event, and the clerk of the course at track.
2nd of August, there will be a Viper pit and you are all welcome to come and try this event that gives you an opportunity to be let loose on an interesting track with a very long straight to test your top speed hitting 160 if your lucky (or less).
An injunction by the local council is in force regarding noise, but there is also a counter injuction issued by 'Big Thunder' against the council as they have also won the initial court case
at a cost of £200K against the local council paid for by the tax payer.
At present this means that its one all, and while noise will be monitored, Pat (Clerk of the Couse for Big Thunder)will be asking people who have noisey cars to cool it a bit at the bottom of the long straight, no one will be stopped from running unless they persist in giving it a huge number of 'Beans' on the back straight with a disregard for his advice.
Format is the same as most years, five pounds will be collected by you pit, then one 'Hot Lap' then in to collect another passenger.
All the money goes to 'When You Wish upon a Star'almost all is spent on terminally ill kids, the rest goes to support charities.
The briefing by me will be at 9.00 Pit opens at 9:30 and you can do as few or as many rides as you like.
This year is my 9th year doing this and it is a fun day with lots of other things going on so bring the wife and the family, there will be loads of 'George' items for sale at less than cost funfair, motorcycle displays, Russ Swift, your wife can drive an artic for a fiver on the track.
